Materials
We believe in the natural beauty of wood.
For our log homes, we typically use local white woods, such as Lodgepole and Jack Pine to White and Sitka Spruce, although beautiful Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar logs are just a phone call away.
For our timber frames, we almost exclusively use Douglas Fir, for our structural applications and Western Red Cedar for our decorative elements and more exotic species like White Maple, Oak and Black Walnut for our pegs and splines.
Procedure
Typically, our clients approach us with their concept and after an initial consultation, we help this turn concept into a reality. From rough sketches through to final room sizing and layout, we will guide you through the processes of traffic flow, use of natural light, complimentary finishes / products and how best to use the features of your building site, to build a home that can be passed from one generation to the next.
